Coating Thickness Gauges

Coating Thickness Gauges

The coating thickness gauges are used for non-destructive measurement of the coating on metal substrates. The principle of measuring the coating on a ferromagnetic substrate, such as iron or steel, is by magnetic induction. Measurement of the coating on non-ferrous or non-ferromagnetic but electrically conductive substrates, such as aluminum, zinc, copper, brass and certain types of stainless steel, uses the eddy current method.
