Description

Reference Block Nr.1 (EN ISO 3452-3) – consists of a set of 4 nickel-chromium plated panels with 10 µm, 20 µm, 30 µm and 50 μm thickness of plating, respectively. Dimensions of each panel: 35 mm x 100 mm x 2 mm. Depth of crack is given by the thickness of the nickel-chromium layer. Transversal cracks are produced by stretching the panel into longitudional direction. The ratio crack width : crack depth is approx. 1 : 20 for each crack. These panels are used for determination of sensitivity of fluorescent and colour contrast penetrant systems.
